In the game, collective synergy is crucial to success not only in conquest, but also in evolution. Just having a single impressive Illuvial is not enough to make your team unbeatable. The synergy of the entire set plays a pivotal role in the collective value, the momentum of continuous wins, and enjoyment of gameplay. Same goes for Illuvium.

We’ve rapidly grown from a Sydney, Australia-based founding squad, to a multinational DAO of over 35 people, dedicated to bringing in the best and most promising professionals.

With our initial seed raise now completed, we are fine-tuning our workforce the same way we are fine-tuning our game: with attention to detail, balanced by an unwavering gaze at the big picture.

We have introduced the gameplay in our previous announcements and discussed Immutable-X. Now, get to know our core team who, combined, will not only make Illuvium a world-class AAA game title, but ensure that our NFT’s thrive on Ethereum.

Kieran Warwick — Co-Founder

Kieran is a proven serial entrepreneur. Working alongside his brother Kain in e-commerce, Kieran found exposure to Bitcoin and Ethereum early on. The enthusiasm for the space naturally led to joining Blueshyft to successfully start the world’s first OTC cryptocurrency exchange. During his time at Blueshyft, Kieran successfully onboarded major Australian Exchanges.

The Burger Collective was his next success, which would amass 100,000 unique reviews, 20,000 monthly web app users, and a partnership with the global business DoorDash. At the same time, DeFi was quickly growing, leading to a prime opportunity, led by his brother Kain (Synthetix.io) to explore the space. Having plenty of history and interest in trading penny stocks, Kieran was charged to see what he could do with an investment. After investing in several DeFi projects, Kieran was able to create Illuvium with his brother Aaron.

Aaron Warwick — Co-Founder & Game Designer

Studying Computer Engineering and Physics at the University of Wollongong in Australia, Aaron found himself obsessed with building and programming games and artificial intelligence from an early age. Aaron’s knowledge of world-building and game lore has been critical to our growing success.

After developing the initial 45-page game design document on Illuvium, Aaron has used his obsessive attention to detail to create the ultimate decentralized RPG and Collection game built on the blockchain. Co-founder, chief game designer, and story writer of Illuvium. A consummate entrepreneur, with a similar sporting background and business mind to match his brothers, has operated multi million dollar retail franchises and in his spare time owns and directs two major Australian sporting complexes.

Nate Wells — Game Producer

With 20+ years in the games industry, Nate Wells is known for his work in Bioshock & Bioshock Infinite.

He served as Lead on The Last of Us, and Rise of the Tomb Raider. Working frequently as an Art/Direction and UX Consultant, Nate likes to help projects find their visual focus.

Nate helps to strip away the unnecessary, and find economical, sexy solutions to big, unsexy problems, and will make these same contributions to the Illuvium team. Besides this, Nate is president of Vacationland Novelty Company.

Basil Gorin — CTO

Basil has over 15 years’ of experience as a full-stack developer, experienced solution architect, tech designer and software engineer with a strong background in Java, Web, and Blockchain tech stacks based out of Kiev in the Ukraine.

Since 2005, Basil has been successfully applying technology to create digital solutions in the US, Israel, Korea, Germany, Estonia, Russia, and Australia. He has been successfully building bridges between stakeholders and tech teams from the very beginning of his professional career and is very well known for his outstanding work and results on mission-critical projects worldwide.

Basil has also participated in Cryptominerworld, an ERC721-based decentralized Game by Sophophilia Studios and spent a good amount of time as the solution architect for Korean based company, PaxNet. In addition to the above projects, Basil designed and built the deedlock.com ERC721 solution related to the real estate industry, based out of New York.

Danny Wilson — Strategic Partnerships

Danny is a Business Executive with more than 20 years of success in transforming and growing company performance. Danny has held multiple Directorship and CEO roles in varying retail and tech-based organizations, making him a real asset to our Illuvium team.

In 2016, Danny founded a joint venture organization along with one of Australia’s iconic business leaders, Gerry Harvey. In just three short years, this venture grew to over $150M in revenue and a team of over 150+ people.

In more recent times, Danny has accomplished his Master’s in Business Administration specializing in Digital Business start-up and has recently been featured in business magazines, APAC Outlook and the CEO Magazine, as the CEO of a rapidly expanding Australian sporting retail & tech start-up.

John Avery — Lead Server Engineer

John has a 20-year career spanning both games development and the financial services industry. His games development career started when he began producing games for the App Store in the late 2000s, and since then, his games have reached more than 1 million users. His company JNA Mobile was also one of the top Unity Asset Store publishers at this time.

Since then, John has continued developing mobile games, producing assets for the Unity Asset Store, and providing Unity and games development consulting services. John has also worked as a senior consultant at major Australian financial institutions, including the National Australia Bank, Westpac, and Suncorp, where his focus has been on migrating services to the cloud. His roles have included Technical Director for the Financial Services business unit at Oracle, and Head of Infrastructure for the FinTech scale-up, Hoolah.

Rogier van de Beek — Lead Concept Artist

For over ten years, Rogier has been a freelance concept artist and illustrator. In this time he has worked on a wide variety of projects, ranging from print to film, toys to theme parks, and of course games and video games.

Rogier is a known artist in the world of tabletop RPG’s — having worked for Paizo as a character designer for over six years. His experience in creating unique characters and giving them a personality will surely be an asset for the Illuvium project.

Next to being creative, he also enjoys the business side of art. Rogier has been working together with companies to create new products and eventually started a company himself to create gaming accessories and merchandising.

Pedro Bergamini — Solidity Engineer

We are excited to have Pedro on board as his background includes working as a full-stack engineer in B2B, using NodeJS and AWS services like Lambda, DynamoDB and Cognito. Plus, his knowledge of creating enterprise user interfaces using React is outstanding (it’s no wonder as he has been coding since the age of 13).

Within his previous roles, he has been responsible for leading new React projects architecture, dealing with frontend teams, developing and actively reviewing other frontend developers code on projects for telehealth, AR, and enterprise software. Pedro is very active in the Brazilian crypto community, which led him to study smart contracts and WEB3 development. Since then Pedro joined and graduated from the Consensys Blockchain Developer Bootcamp.

Aleksandr Kirilenko — Lead Modeler

Aleksandr has worked in the advertisement industry as a freelance 3D modeler for such giants as Pepsi, Sony, and Toyota. Aleksandr’s creative flair and skill is a welcome asset to Illuvium, having worked on game cinematics as a character/creature modeler and texture artist at Platigue Image. His portfolio also encompasses work as a digital sculptor for Prime 1 Studio and Ninja Theory, where he was a senior character artist.

Alexksandr’s recent professional endeavor was working for Blur, an LA-based veteran company producing the highest quality cinematics and content for film and TV. His experience in making characters for mobile and VR and creating super-realistic assets for consoles and PC is what Aleksandr brings to the Illuvium team.

Alexandre Belbari — Lead Animator

Alexandre began learning animation in the South of France in 2008. After graduating in 2010, he began working with Marvel on projects like X-Men. Over the next four years, Alexandre was able to work and learn from some of the best animators in the industry.

With his wealth of experience under his belt, Alexandre then moved to ILM Lucasfilm where he worked on notable projects including Transformers, Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxies, Godzilla and Ready Player One. This experience gave him full confidence to work as a Senior Animator in a freelance capacity.

After ten years in the film industry, Alexandre credits continue to appear across many studios, including MPC, Method, theMill, and Pixomonodo on various projects including; Men in Black, IT 2, League of Legends and more recently, The Mandalorian (Star Wars). As Alexandre enters a new genre as a Lead Animator, his high level of detail, creativity and experience will take Illuvium to new levels.

Dmitriy Ten — Lead Promotional Artist

Dmitriy Ten took the print advertising world by storm when he became the lead artist at Cream Electric Art in Sydney, Australia, one of the world’s most renowned and respected high-end print advertising firms.

His experience involves working with nearly every global advertising agency in the world, including the most high-end clients such as Pagani, Qantas, ESRI, IMAX, Commbank, Arnotts, Singapore Airlines, Cadbury, and Boeing.

Working in high-end print advertising at Cream Electric Art has formed Dmitriy into an artist capable of understanding every degree of composition and visual impact, which will take Illuvium’s vision in the advertising space to the next level.

Lionel Pinkhand — Software Engineer

Illuvium is extremely lucky to have Lionel onboard. As a software engineer with 19 years experience in software development across various industries, particularly gaming, cryptography and telecommunications, his experience is paramount to our success.

Lionel primarily works in C++ environments, with experise Unreal blueprints, Lua, Python, C#, Java, and Erlang. While Lionel is a flexible software engineer who can adapt quickly to any situation, he is particularly good with gameplay programming, artificial intelligence and cloud technologies.

Marcel Reyes — Marketing Manager

A writer and brand strategist with over a decade of experience in marketing, Marcel joins the Illuvium team to create high-impact communications. He’s helped to refine the narratives of companies across industries as varied as research universities, academic medicine institutions, mortgage bankers, specialty coffees, and many other products and services. Marcel’s ability to craft compelling storytelling in both his freelance and agency work will be key to his role in culture-building for Illuvium.

A Renaissance man and consummate creative, beyond being our Marketing Manager, Marcel also makes contributions to writing the lore of our game and world-building our franchise. Thrilled to be on our team, Marcel will help communicate that Illuvium is poised to be the first major AAA title and immersive open-world RPG in the NFT/gaming space.
